How to Import Shifts with Assigned Talent Using “Talent Committed” Status
This guide explains how to create shifts and assign talent with the “Talent Committed” status through the import feature.
Step 1: Prepare the Import File
Make sure your import file includes the following key columns at the minimum:
- Shift Name
- Start Date
- Start Time
- Talent (email address of registered talent)
- Shift Assignment Status (e.g., Talent Committed)
Important: The talent email must already be registered in the system.
Step 2: Upload the Import File
1. Go to the Shifts section of the platform.
2. Click the Import button and upload your Excel file.
3. Confirm column mappings if prompted.
Once imported, the system will:
– Create the shifts
– Link the talent to each shift
– Assign the shift status based on your input (e.g., Talent Committed)
After Import: What You Should See
Once the shifts are imported:
– The Shifts will appear in your dashboard
– Each shift will list the assigned talent
– Their Shift Assignment will display as Talent Committed
You can confirm this under the Talent tab inside each shift as shown in the screenshot below.
Notes & Best Practices
– To assign multiple talents to the same shift, separate their emails with commas in the Talent column (e.g.,
[email protected], [email protected])
– The Shift Assignment Status column must contain only one status per row (e.g., Talent Committed)
– When assigning the same talent to multiple linked shifts, ensure the same Shift Assignment Status is used for all those shifts to avoid errors
– If the talent email is not registered in the system, it will not be assigned to the shift
