What happens if two Recaps linked to the same recap template have different questions?
Talent can submit Recaps linked to the same template across different shifts, even if the questions vary.
However, reports cannot be generated from Recaps that do not share common questions.
Note: Recap template questions can be updated, but changes will not reflect once the shift has started, as Recap drafts are generated one minute before the shift begins. If a Tenant wants to update the Recap template questions, the changes must be made before the draft is created.
Let’s consider 2 shifts, the Morning Shift and Evening Shift. And 1 Talent is committed in each shift.

Set Up Recap Template in Shift 1
Set up the ‘Check-in Recap’ at the check-in point in ‘Morning Shift’. Check-in Recap has 3 questions at this time.
- Inside the shift, go to the Recap Templates.

- Click Setup Recap Templates, and the dialog box opens.

- Enter Template Name and choose a Checkpoint. Enable Required toggle (if recap must be submitted).
- Click Save and the recap template is created and listed.

A recap draft is generated automatically 1 minute before the shift starts and can be viewed inside the Recaps tab.

Talent submitted a recap from the mobile App. After the recap is submitted, it will appear in the recap listing.

Update and Setup Recap Template in Shift 2
Now remove a question from ‘Check-in Recap’. For this, go to the Recaps listing page, then click on the Recap Templates button.

It will navigate to the Recap Templates listing page.

Next, select the same recap template that has been used earlier.

Delete a question from the recap template and save it.

After that, repeat the same process:
- Select the updated recap template in ‘Evening Shift’.
- Talent submitted the recap answers from the App.
- Then go back to the Recap Listing page.

From there, select the recap(s) and try to generate the report.

But instead of generating the report, the system shows a modal with an error message saying:
“The selected recaps do not have common recap questions. Please select the Recaps that have the same questions.”
