What is Recap and how does it work?
Recaps: A Simple Process Guide
In Senegal, each time a shift is created, the agency can link recap templates to it at different check points e.g., check-in, check-out, midpoint, and job complete. These recaps act as feedback forms for Talent, with questions set by the agency. Their goal is to gather meaningful input from the Talent about the work completed during the shift.
Let’s see how this works.
Shift Creation Process
- Login → Select Work then select → Shifts.

- Add Shift → Create.

- Enter details → click on Save → Then go to Shift Detail screen.

Set Up Recap Template in the Shift
Now, inside the shift detail screen, select Recap Template tab. Then click on the Set Recap Templates button.

Here, the agency can link different recap templates with the shift. They can be set at a specific check point ( i.e., Check-in, midpoint, Check-out, and Job complete). The agency can choose whether recap will be required or not etc. After adding a recap template, click on the Save button to save your changes.

Adding Talent to Shift
- Go to the Talent section in the shift.

- Click Add Talent → choose Select (or Create new).

- Pick the desired Talent → click Select again → Talent are added.

Move Talent to Another Status
In the Talent section, open dropdown → select Move Talent.

In modal, choose a status (Committed, Job Completed, etc.) → click Apply.

The shift assignment of the Talent are Talent Committed. This means that these talents are meant to work on this shift.

Go to the Recaps section → it will be empty.

Now draft recaps are generated automatically by the system 1 min before the start of the shift. These recaps are present in Recaps Tab

Recap Submission from App
At this point, the Talent will log into the mobile app to work on the shift. He/ she will click on the Check-in icon to check-in to the shift.

The Recap modal will open; click on Go Recap.

The recap questions will be displayed to the talent

Talent will add the answers and then click Submit to submit the recap for that shift.
At this point, the recap answers would be stored in the portal, and the status of the recap would be updated to ‘submitted’.

Alternatively, the agency also has access to submit these recaps from the portal side on the Talent’s behalf. They can also edit the submitted recaps.

The recap listing page only displays submitted recaps.
