Creating Proposal Templates

Summary

Proposal templates, found in the Finance module under Proposals, serve as reusable frameworks for creating new proposals. To create or edit a template, click on Proposal Template, then either create a new one by filling in details like name, stage, and description or edit an existing template. Templates can include various components, such as company history or introductions, which can be reordered as needed. Once saved, these templates allow users to quickly generate proposals by filling in predefined sections and adding additional components as required.

Talk about proposal templates. Proposal templates are found in finance, and then proposals. And proposal templates are the framework that you can use or anybody who has access to your finance module can use to create new proposals for future contacts. And the way it begins is once you’re on the proposal screen, click on the proposal template button, and then you’ll see we have some proposals already in place there. We can create a new proposal, fill in some information, the name, the stage, and the description. But what we’ll do is we’ll go back and look at an existing one. And so we’ll just click on this proposal here and we’ll see that it has a number of components already and you can add more components to it. So this might be a history of the company, whatever kind of template pieces you want to put in place so that anybody who wants to use this in the future. And I’m going to add that and you’ll see that it appears here. Now I can change the order of it. Maybe I want to put that under the introduction and it’ll reorder and put it there for you. And then once you save this template, then when it comes time to create a proposal, somebody can select this template and just fill in those pieces that you’ve put in and they can add more pieces as they will. But this is the framework of building out a proposal. Okay.
