Dropdown menus, such as opportunity types or regions, can be tailored and reordered, with default values set for consistency. Stages, defining workflow points for records like leads or opportunities, can be added, reordered, customized with colors, and saved. Widgets, displayed on dashboards, allow configuration of date ranges and department-specific access, ensuring relevant data visibility for users. All changes must be saved to take effect.

Going to talk about the system settings for the CRM. To do the system settings, you do need to be a system administrator. You’ll click the icon on the far right, click system settings and go over to the CRM option on the left. Now, we’ve talked about some of these in different videos. Lead generation form and lead score, and even agreements are in their own videos. But contact settings is a setting that allows you to determine whether your contacts should see only their own records or all the records in the company. And what that means is if you have two or three contacts at a company and maybe they work together sometimes and they want to be able to see each other’s work in Senegal, then by going to all company records, then they’ll all be able to log in and see all of the records for everything related to their company.

Alternatively, only contacts records means each individual client that logs in only gets to see records that are assigned to them in the system. Another setting in CRM, there’s dropdowns. And as you move through the CRM system and work on leads and opportunities, companies and contacts, you’ll see a variety of dropdown menus. And those dropdown menus can be changed to include information that’s more relevant to you. So examples of that will be region, it could be company type, it will be source type, lead type, different types of dropdowns where you can come in and make some changes. So in this example, the different types of opportunity types we have are these six. Here I’m able to set a default. So if I decide, well, I want the default from now on to be event, then every time I create a new or anybody creates a new opportunity, by default, the opportunity type will be event.

So you can change those however you want to. You can change the order of them by using these arrows here. And this is the order that they’ll appear in the dropdown. You can edit the individual event name and just go in there and make that change there. And then make sure you save your changes. Another setting in CRM is the stages and stages are the different points at which a record goes through and different records. So company contact, lead opportunity, all have stages. And when you click into a stage section, you’ll see the list of stages. You can simply click add a new one again, you can set a default, you can move the order of them up and down, and you can also edit. And that’s the colour that you can add to any different stage. So all the stages in the platform are defined by you and your company, as well as all the colours. Make sure you click save when you’re done. And then the last setting here in the CRM is widgets. So each of the different types of records have widgets and those will appear on your dashboard. You can set the date range for a particular widget, and then you can define which departments should be able to have access to that widget on their dashboards. You’ll plug all that information and click save, and then those widgets will be displayed or available to the different individuals on their dashboard.
