Summary

The sales commissions feature in Senegal allows salespeople and managers to track and manage commissions. Salespeople can view only their own commissions, including amounts, payment status, and payment dates. Managers, however, can access all commissions, use filters to identify specific records, and mark commissions as paid by performing a mass change to update their status and payment date. Although commissions are processed through an external payroll system, the updates ensure salespeople can track processed payments in their records and expect them on their paychecks.

In this video, we’re going to talk about reviewing sales commissions. If you’re a salesperson or the manager who’s overseeing all of the commissions, you can go to finance commissions. Administrators, when they go to commissions, will see all of the commissions that are available for all of the salespeople as we do in this example. But if I were logged in as just a salesperson, then I would only see my commissions here. So it gives me a tool to track my commissions, how much I’m going to be getting, when I’m going to be getting it, and whether or not they’ve been paid. And you can see here, some have been paid in the dates that they’ve been paid, but if I’m the manager and I want to go ahead and mark some of these commissions as paid, then I use the filters, find the information that I want, and then I would check off the ones that are going to be paid.

And this is being paid not through the Senegal system, but being paid through your outside payroll company. And I’m going to say that I’ve gone ahead and paid these three commissions. So I’ll check the boxes and do a mass change. And what that does is allows me to change the stage to paid and a date that I’ve paid them. So let’s just say that I’ve paid them today. It will upload those records as we see here. So the next time those salespeople come in to look at their records, they’ll see that those have been processed and they’ll be able to look for those on their paycheck.
