This video, we’re going to talk about getting approval for estimates and proposals. It’s a feature that’s built into Senegal that if your company has a manager who must approve all estimates and proposals before they get sent out to clients, then that can be handled through system settings. You’ll go into the system administrator will go into system settings, they’ll go into the finance module, and then they’ll go ahead and pick. Under general, they’ll indicate who should be approving estimates, invoices, and proposals. With that in place, when a salesperson or any user of the system goes into estimates, proposals, or invoices, and they create that record before they can actually send that off to the client, they’ll have to submit it for approval. So they’ll lock this estimate, confirm that they’ve locked it, and then they’ll have to go in and say, yes, I want that to be approved.

So they’ll send it, it’ll go to the approver, whatever manager in the company will get a notification up here that they need to approve it. They’ll have different rights here, so they’ll be able to see an approve or unapproved, and let’s see if there’s a proposal, we’ll have that and they’ll go through and they’ll make those changes. And once they do that, then the sales portion will get notified that the record has been approved or not approved. And then the client will get that estimate or proposal or invoice sent to them to pay review, except whatever it may be.
