Talk about project settings. You need to be a system administrator to make any changes to the settings of any of the modules. If you are, you can click the icon and go to system settings. Once there, you can select on projects on the left, and you’ll see there’s three different settings here. For projects, there are dropdowns, and these are different areas that you can put in information. So in this case, all we have are project categories. We have three, but you can add as many as you want by clicking the add button, and then you can put the default of which one you want to have display. Each time you’re creating a new project, you can change the order of them, delete them, and add them there. Another part of projects is stages, and these are the different stages of a project. You’ve got milestone stages, project stages, and risk stages, and each of those you go into and you can add them as many as you want.

There’s some defaults in there now, and we’ve got open as the default starter. You can edit them to change the name and the colour of the stages. Again, delete or rearrange the order. All the different stages are defined by you. You can have as many or few as you want for each of the different areas. And then widgets, those are the different widgets that show up on your dashboard. There are milestones, risks, and projects. You’ll go into each one of those and you’ll set a date frame for that particular widget and then determine which departments, therefore, the people in those departments would be able to use that widget on their dashboard.
