How Shifts Are Merged in Duplicate Talent Records
When merging two or more talent records, all shifts are preserved and merged automatically. This is applicable in:
- Audio
- Notes
- Agreements
- Photos
- Emails
- Campaigns
- Background Checks
- Rate Cards
- Education
- Experience
- Networks
- Attachments
- Videos
- Ratings
- Violations
- Shipments
In Agreements
If we have two talent records with multiple agreements then upon merging these records, all agreements from both records will be combined automatically.
The system will not prompt the user to choose which agreements to keep or merge . It will simply merge all the data without requiring user input.
Scenario Example:
Talent Record One:
Talent Record Two:

In Shifts
When two talent records are merged, their scheduled shifts are also combined. When two talent records are merged, their scheduled shifts are also combined. If a conflict occurs, for example, both profiles are linked to the same shift but with different assignment statuses (e.g., Invited vs. Committed), the system asks the user to manually choose the correct one during the merge process.
Scenario Example:
- Talent Name: Chris John
- Records: Two separate profiles (one with Chris John and one with Chris John Andrew)
Assigned Shifts:
- Shift-Chef → Record 1: Committed
- Shift-Chef → Record 2: Invited
System Behavior
In this example scenario, two shifts are linked to a talent (Chris John), but with different statuses. To resolve this, the system will ask the user to choose which status should be kept for the shift and which one should be discarded.
Once the user has selected their preference, the shifts are merged successfully, and the duplicate shift entry is removed as shown in the image below:
Best Practice
Before merging, review shifts to ensure no overlapping shifts with conflicting statuses exist.
FAQs:
Can I manually fix the conflict before merging?
