What Happens to Photos When Merging Talent Records?

When merging duplicate talent profiles, photos—especially the primary profile photo—need special attention to avoid confusion or loss of important visuals. This guide explains how photo selection works and how you can ensure the correct photo is retained in the final merged record.

Each talent record in the system supports one primary profile photo, which appears in listings, grid views, and chats too.

If multiple records being merged have different primary photos, which will normally be the case if each record have a profile photo set, the system will prompt you to select one during the merge process.

What happens to non-primary photos:

All other uploaded photos (non-primary) are automatically merged and retained, so you never lose any supporting images associated with the talent.

Best Practices:

• Keep an eye on duplicate supporting images and clean them up if needed post-merge.
  Always choose the most up-to-date or professional-looking image.
• Consider replacing low-quality or outdated photo for the primary photo selection.

Can I change the primary photo later?

Yes, after the merge, you can update the primary photo from the talent profile page.
